About CVUG	English (USA)
CVUG: Cosina Voigtlander User Group This is the Cosina Voigtlander User  Group (CVUG) mailing list for ALL Cosina made Voigtlander products (CVUG), as well as the other Cosina made photographic products.  These products include but is not limited to the Voigtlander Bessa L, Bessa R, Bessa R2, Bessa R2S, Bessa R2C, Bessaflex TM,  all Voigtlander rangefinder lenses in Leica screw mount or Nikon rangefinder mount, Cosina made Voigtlander SLRs and SLR lenses, Voigtlander accessories, as well as future Voigtlander and Cosina made products. It is list policy to protect your privacy.  List membership is only visible to the list owner.   Archived messages are readable only by list members.  The list subscriber list will not be sold, nor shared, nor will SPAM be added to list messages.  CVUG was created January 29, 2001 at Topica, and transferred to CameraQuest.org on April 4th, 2004.  CVUG is the largest English language Cosina Voigtlander internet mailing list. List Guidelines CVUG
Flaming and uncivil behavior on the list is strongly discouraged.  Flame posts will get you removed from the list.   Spirited discussion is strongly encouraged, but be nice to each other.  Please stay on topic with Cosina Voigtlander and photography related posts.   Save discussion for such topics as hats, underwear, war crimes, religion, etc for your private email, instead of uselessly cluttering the inboxes of CVUG  List  members who subscribed for ON topic discussions.  Email diarrhea: Some lists are occasionally "attacked" by overzealous members who think they must respond to practically every post.  Please limit your postings to no more than five per day.   Witty replies: Some lists have members under the delusion that everyone subscribed to read their often ill conceived attempts at humor and quick repartee.   Please save smart-ass replies for private email, or the stage if you really are a comedian.  Selling and Buying: Private sellers or buyers may post their ads any day, but limit your ads to once per week.   Dealer for sale or buying posts of any kind of ads are not allowed,   a standard which I will also follow.   If you have questions about something for sale or wanted, email the person privately instead of posting your question to the list. SPAM Software: Subscribers with anti-SPAM software may NOT require each list poster to authenticate a message.  IF you can't simply authenticate the list, get new anti-SPAM software, or find another mailing list. People removed for not following list guidelines may also be removed from other CameraQuest lists.  People booted off are generally not given warnings, the logic being that if subscribers don't take the time to read and follow the list guidelines, the list administrator's time is better spent elsewhere.
Using CVUG
To post a message to all the list members after you are subscribed, send email to cvug@cameraquest.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below. If you have several email accounts, you must use the same "reply to" address that you are subscribed under in order to post messages. COOKIES on your browser to MUST be enabled to make changes to your CVUG preferences.  IF you are running security software, it also must be set to accept cookies while you are logged in.  Mailing List Options:  You will create a password when you subscribe which allows you to log in and modify your list preferences.   You will also be sent a monthly reminder on how to manage your CVUG account.   Log into your account at http://www.cameraquest.org/mailman/options/cvug/your_email_address_here  to change your list preferences. Once logged into your account, you can choose email, weekly digest, or web only reading options.  For web only, choose "no mail" and then log into the CVUG archives when you wish to visit. Search List Archives by logging into http://www.cameraquest.org/mailman/private/CVUG   Due to changing the list hosting from Topica,  the list archive starts April 4th, 2004.  Unsubscribe by logging into your account and following the menu directions.
Subscribing to CVUG
Subscribe to CVUG by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in clear text. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
